Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@topstallfarm.com or 425-463-5765 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No, we do not breed llamas and alpacas. While we support the quality breeders we buy from, we ourselves do not have a breeding program.  Our focus is on animal behavior and human to animal interactions.

We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments like Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

We love dogs, but do not allow our dogs or outside dogs to interact directly with our herd.  Having said that, you can bring your dog with you for your tour if they would be happy to rest in the car or in our cafe area while you are on your tour.  We do not allow dogs to join the tour as that would be stressful for the llamas.

Officially, our minimum age is 10-years-old. However, if you are bringing a child that can stay calm and follow basic instructions for 2-hours, we are happy to welcome children, as young as, 6-years old.  For infants that are happy to be in a front or backpack carrier for the entire tour, they are welcome to join free of charge.  We cannot allow toddlers to walk amongst the animals for safety reasons.

For each tour, we halter number of llamas to match the number of booked guests without making assignments.  Who is assigned to each llama is up to the participants at the time of the tour.  One can chose their own llama, however Topstall staff reserve the right to make a llama assignment based on safety of both the guests and the llamas.  While all our llamas are very calm and sweet natured, some are faster walkers than others.

For our standard daily tours, there are no discounts for booking as a group. However, there can be discounts for special events arranged in advanced by calling us directly.  We provide discounts for pre-arranged groups larger than 11 people where llamas are shared among members of the group.

We do not offer a shared llama rate as a standard practice as it is ideal if there is one person pair with one llama.  Exceptions are made when a tour has a waitlist.  In those cases, we may call and offer for you to join at a shared rate.  We limit this practice, as we like to keep treks small and offer an experience that allows individuals to bond with our sweet llamas.
